5 New Year Affirmations for when Last Year was Pretty Great

Hi everyone! I am just heading back to work today and so I haven't fully dived into the new year just yet. I have been spending lots of time getting ahead on projects for 2019 and thinking about what I want this year to mean to me. Each year, I start a massive brain-dump of a Pinterest board where I compile anything and everything that inspires me during that year, and I will kick it off by adding lots of quotes related to my goals and theme for the year.

Overall, 2018 was an absolutely incredible year and one that I'm not quite ready to put behind me. I graduated college, got my first postgraduate job at a dream company, and had the most wonderful summer and holiday season with family. I got to live with all my best friends, go on an amazing spring break vacation, and performed in my last ever dance show. To be blunt, 2018 was INCREDIBLE and I worry that 2019 isn't going to live up to what 2018 had to offer.

There's more coming soon on what my 2019 Word of the Year is, but while I dug through the depths of Pinterest for inspiration, I was struck by how much content out there is designed for people who had a crap year and can't wait to put the past behind them. And while I am rooting for those people every day of 2019, there has to be something out there for those of us who had amazing years and only want to build on that awesomeness. 99% of the affirmations, quotes, and inspiration out there doesn't account for that fact, so I wanted to share 5 positive affirmations that you can take into 2019 if you're feeling lost for inspiration. 2018 was my best year yet, and I can only hope that 2019 tops it!
