This might sound silly, but whoever that girl is, she is *hand goals*!! I mean, her nail polish is on point, her ring stack is amazing (where can I find cute rings like this? Comment below!), and her sweater looks like it's super soft and comfy. It's a fashion blogger trifecta.
On another note, and in keeping with the title of this blog post, I've had an on-again, off-again relationship with red nail polish. It's supposed to be classic, but I've never felt that red polish looked that good on me. Maybe it's my short nail beds, but something just doesn't feel right when I'm sporting red polish. On the other hand, I think I have a fear of looking like a witch (you know those plastic Halloween nails.. not the look I'm going for).
So while I don't want to look like a witch, I've decided (courtesy of the girl pictured above - seriously do us all a favor and go be a hand model) that red nail polish is something I want to try out. My last manicure I opted for the Essie color Fifth Avenue, which had a bit of a orange-y undertone. I actually really enjoyed having it on my nails, and while I wouldn't get red every time, I definitely want to try out some other red polishes.
I've found that OPI has the best reds! And my manicurist told me that if you put on a base coat, you protect your nails from the harshness of the red hue!

Last time I wore red polish, it stained my nails red! I'll have to remember to always wear a base coat with red nails!!
DeleteI don't really reach for red nail polish either! I feel ya!
ReplyDeleteI love wearing red nail polish. I feel so sassy when I have it on.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree! I think red polish is growing on me for sure ;)
DeleteI have a love hate relationship with pastel colored nail polish. I've never tried classical red but I love berry color reds.
ReplyDeleteA classic short red nail is probably my favorite! And I agree, those rings are so cute!
