Dormi-tour-io

I've wanted to give you all a tour of my dorm for quite a while now, and since I just got back to school and everything is put away and organized, I figured now would be the perfect time!! I live in a double with one of my sorority sisters, and we have such a nice space. My room is actually pretty big compared to some of the other rooms in this building, and I'm so grateful for that. I have so much stuff around in my room and I love that I have space to store everything just the way I like it :)

This is what my desk space looks like! I bought this awesome desk nook from Ikea and it's one of the best purchases for my dorm! My desk last year had a built in hutch, but this year I needed something so that I could store my textbooks and odds and ends without cluttering my space. On the side shelves I keep a bunch of goodies - stapler, tape and a portable speaker on the top shelf; hand sanitizer, batteries, headphones, my Theta badge box, and some notes on the second shelf. On the bottom shelf, I stack all my textbooks! And of course up top I have some fake flowers, my Hopkins foam finger, a gift from my sister and a Theta canvas from my big during Secret Week. Along with that I keep some tissues and my power strip. Tissues are seriously my #1 college essential!! I always bring so many boxes with me - you'll be amazed how fast you go through them!

Here's a close up of the canvas!

Annnnd the shelves.

On the side of the hutch, I keep this over the door hook and I hang my wristlet there. My wristlet is my baby and I can't live without it. It carries my keys, school ID, and acts as my wallet. It even has a space for my phone! I seriously don't need anything else and I already have bought 3 more so I have them for the rest of my college career haha!!

Next to my desk I keep a little table with my printer on top, as well as my laptop sleeve and my lap desk. Next to that I have some fun goodies since I'm planning preference round for my sorority!! But this wall is seriously my favorite part of my room. I made the top three prints (a quote from my roommate and a quote from Gilmore Girls), and the rest I found on Tumblr!! I love the way this wall came out and these quotes inspire me constantly.

I have the same bedding as last year but I totally love it! Next year I'll have a full bed so I will have to buy new bedding, but I searched high and low for this yellow and navy bedding and I am so, so happy with it (:

At the foot of my bed, I have a six-cube organizer from Target (the bomb dot com) which holds cleaning supplies, extra beauty products, and undergarments. I also use this as my nightstand and so I have my phone charger here as well as some magazines and books. Right now I'm reading Bossypants by Tina Fey and it is HILARIOUS!!!

Since my room is oddly shaped, I have this little corner where I store my dance bag, my tote (currently) and my slippers, which I love wearing in my room during the winter! They are from LL Bean and they are super comfy.

I also bought a bookshelf that I use as more storage on top of my dresser. I use it primarily to store all my makeup as well as some additional trinkets. You'll find my wooden letters, a Welcome Home sign that my big made, and some paper flowers that my dance company made for me when they came to see The Nutcracker that I performed in!

This acrylic makeup storage is the best! It holds everything I need, and soo many brushes too. My favorite palette to use when I want a more dramatic eye look is the Lorac Pro Palette. It's great because you can create both daytime looks and darker smoky eyes for going out at night.

The perfumes I have with me at school are Laila, Coach Poppy Freesia Blossom, and Kate Spade Live Colorfully.

Of course, can't live without my boxed set of Gilmore Girls DVDs!!

Aside from everything I showed is just my closet (and I didn't get a picture of my printer setup). Comment below if you'd like to see a closet tour!! What's your favorite part of your dorm room?
