Midweek Five | September 19

via
It's been such a week! I took off from blogging on Friday and Monday because I was doing final preparations for my sister's Sweet 16 party, which was on Sunday night and was such a good time. I had the best day seeing family, dancing the night away with all of my sister's friends, and seeing her enjoy such a special party all about her! I am still exhausted but recovering, and now that the party is over that means fall is in full swing.

I went with my sister to get her hair done the morning of the party and before blowing out my hair, my hairdresser also decided that I should put a colored glaze in it. I absolutely love the results! The color now is a bit more chestnut-y and almost reddish than my natural color. Plus, the color is semi-permanent and doesn't involve bleach or anything of that nature so it will naturally fade out after a while and then I can always try another shade.

Reese Witherspoon kicked off her book tour in New York City on Monday night and it looked like such a fun time! My favorite blogger crew was all there to hang out with her and honestly I wish I was part of their squad - Carly, Julia, Mackenzie, Carly Hill and more! If only Kelly was there and then all my favorite bloggers would have been in one place.

Yesterday, Fran shared her fall wishlist and I am in love with everything she has picked out. I love all the neutrals, textures, and shapes that she chose to include. I'm starting to itch for fall and all of its activities, like apple picking and watching the leaves change. Should I share a moodboard or wishlist for the season too?

I watched the Emmy's last night and some of the fashion was So. Good. On my list of best dressed? Sarah Paulson, Sandra Oh, and Jessica Biel. Also a major congrats to Rachel Brosnahan, Alex Bornstein, and Amy Sherman-Palladino (of Gilmore Girls fame) for all the amazing wins for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel!

As I mentioned, I am craving fall super badly right now! Some great bucket lists that I want to tackle include this one from Tuckernuck, this one from Julia of Gal Meets Glam, and this old one from Carly the Prepster. And of course, I need to keep adding to my 101 in 1001 list.
