Welcome back, y'all!! Today's post is my fun take on the typical bucket list. As an incoming freshman (or even as an upperclassman) there are so many things to take advantage of on your campus and in your college town. While there are some typical things (attend a frat party / pull an all nighter / etc), there are a few things that I think are must dos on your list! I know that I will highly regret parts of my college experience if I don't get to do every single one of these things, and so I recommend that you try to complete all of these things as well!
- Get a picture with the campus mascot
- Get a picture with the university sign
- Go to the top of your campus bell tower or other cool building
- If your campus has a rock / statue that everyone graffitis, do it!
- Have a picnic on the quad with friends
- Go sledding on the biggest hill at your campus
- Go on at least one #basic college spring break trip
- Find a study spot that no one else knows about
- Attend a major league sporting event in your new city
- Go to all the Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives restaurants nearby
- Frat or bar hop for one evening
- Participate in restaurant week
- Get to know your favorite professor
- Study abroad, even if it's just for a few weeks
- Take a weekend trip with friends somewhere you've never been
- "Shadow" a campus tour
- Participate in a weird campus tradition, like the mid-finals library streak
- Sneak Tupperware into the dining hall during a special meal day/event
- Create your own signature drink
- Stargaze on the quad
- Swim in a campus fountain
- Eat with someone new in the dining hall
- Watch the sunrise from the library (just once, hopefully)
Anything else that you think is essential to do during your college years? Let me know if I missed something crucial, and hopefully we can cross off a bunch of these things together this year!
