Working What You Own: Halloween 2015

Halloween 2015

Hey everyone! Halloween is just about a week away, which means it's time to pull our your under-the-bed storage bin of wacky costume pieces and put together your look. But the best part is, that you can create so many great costumes by turning to the actual clothes you wear on a daily basis!! I love coming up with new ways to wear outfits, and Halloween is no exception. Here's the simple but still cute looks I'll be sporting this Halloween.

Pebbles
This Flintstone gal's look is easy to recreate with a leopard print dress, some tan heels or sandals, and your hair in a super high half up half down. For added flair, get a bone clip to attach to your pony!

Lifeguard
A simple pair of white Soffe shorts (a middle school standard), Rainbow flip flops, and a red bathing suit or leotard can make this look in a flash. Borrow a whistle from one of your sporty friends to toss around your neck.

Sandy from Grease
I wore this look to a social the other night and didn't even realize how closely I resembled Sandy. Leather leggings or black jeans, an off-the-shoulder top, and some killer black stilettos make this look simple and oh-so-cute. Of course, don't forget the classic red lip for a finishing touch!

Hippie
Another standard Halloween costume, this one is easy to amp up due to the recent 70s inspired trends. Pull on a pair of flares with your favorite floral or tie dye crop top, and rock some tan platform heels and round sunnies with your outfit.

Cowgirl
Who doesn't love a flannel in the fall?! Pair a cute flannel with some Daisy Duke shorts and cowboy boots for an easy Halloween look. If you're feeling a little more ~scandy~ for a college party, leave the flannel unbuttoned or tied at the waist with a black bralette on underneath.

What are you planning to be for Halloween this year? I absolutely love dressing up for this holiday!!
