Prep for Less: Best Less Expensive Stores

Today's post is all about how to get the look for less! Scrolling through Tumblr at any given time and you will be sure to see lots of posts asking where to buy preppy pieces on a budget. There are tons of great, creative ways to do this, and all it takes is a little exploration!

Go to your local mall and go into every single store you can possibly think of. Even the ones where you're not 100% sure if you'll find anything you like. Sometimes you can find the best pieces in the strangest places, like the J.Crew Ski Sweater dupe that I found at CottonOn, or my favorite jeans from American Eagle - I never even stepped foot into the store for years!!

  1. This is a really interesting list. I wouldn't have expected any of these except for J-Crew factory. I've always thought of Forever 21 as a "fun clothing" (prints, pastels, just cute things) sort of store. Maybe i'm just no longer a part of their intended age demographic :P

    Good post!

    1. Forever 21 definitely has a lot of trendy pieces but if you dig deep enough and look for the right stuff, they have some great items! I also love buying clothes there to wear out at night (:
