Happy Friday! (An Update on Life)

WHAT'S CRACKALACKIN EVERYBODY?!

Sorry I'm so hyped, but this was my first week back at school so I still have a wee bit of energy left in me, although by the look of me laying on my bed while typing this, I'm a lot more tired than I'm letting myself admit.

This coming Sunday starts recruitment, and I could not be happier! I'm really looking forward to the entire process, and can't wait to share my home with my family, friends, and of course, followers. It's going to be a crazy tiring week, since there are some days where we have six straight hours of parties.

I guess that means I have to get ahead on my schoolwork, right?

I've been trying to get a lot done this week, since mostly in class we are going over lots of basics and don't have as much work yet. I'm sure that it's going to pick up in no time at all, and with dance, recruitment, and the weather warming up as we move toward finals, I know that I'm going to have to plan my time well and push forward in order to enjoy all the fun stuff as well.

I'm taking a lot of intro level classes this semester, which can be seen as a good or bad think. It's a lot of basics; dipping my toes into pools of various topics. In some ways, it's not as intense as my last semester, since I took a writing course in the fall and, to put it in the words of my roommate, "even when there's no homework, there's always an essay to be done."

I must say, however, that I am really enjoying how interconnected my classes are. I have to take Microeconomics for my major (more on that in a later blog post), and it's simultaneously very similar to the Business class that I am taking (for a minor). On top of it all, the Business class often talks about society and how we must alter the market to please the people and what they want - which ties in perfectly with the Social Psychology class I'm taking as well. Combine that with Sustainability classes and the Statistics class that I took in high school last year, and I'm really amazed at how interwoven all my classes seem to be. I'm glad about it - everything is more applicable and easier to grasp when I can see how it relates in other areas of the world.

On another note, we were supposed to get snow here in Baltimore, but the forecast keeps changing and it looks like we are not getting any snow after all. My little sister, on the other hand, had an early dismissal, a day off, and a delayed opening all in the same week, further north. I guess it's somewhat disappointing since a day off of classes would have been nice, but maybe if I'm super lucky the weather will get nicer (and warmer) this week for recruitment!

This post didn't have much of a point, but right now that's all that's going on in the world of me. How about you? What have you been up to?
